Work friendly hours

We are open from 7.30 AM to 6.00 PM Monday to Friday, 51 weeks each year.

Large indoor play zones

We have a large, bright open-plan indoor play area. It's divided into several zones according to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

In addition we have areas of continuous provision including the home corner, construction, literacy and creative areas.

The open plan nature of the setting means that children can have a free choice when it comes to selecting fun and exciting learning opportunities.

Secure outdoor playground

We love to get children outside in our secure outdoor play area. With a huge variety of resources to play with your child gets both fresh air and develops important physical skills.

Our all-weather suits enable us to explore the outdoors whatever the weather; splashing about in muddy puddles in our wellies can be great fun!

Social and relaxation areas

'Circle Time' is where we gather to share news, celebrate achievements and enjoy developing our phonics and numeracy skills. We develop your child's confidence in speaking within a small group and we encourage children to listen and be attentive to one another.

We have two 'chill zone' areas. 'Snuggly Den' is a corner of bean bags, for quiet story times and little naps. For serious, 'get-away-from-it-all' relaxation we have our sensory room. With its relaxing, dim lighting, it's ideal for those times when your child has just 'had enough'.

Library

It's great to read stories together! We have a large library of children's story books that we enjoy sharing in the book corner. We use puppets and props to enhance the story telling experience.

Dining Room

We have a fully fitted kitchen serving a child-sized dining area. Our on-site cook prepares healthy, nutritious meals daily and our menus operate on a 4 week rota; we are proud to have received the Tameside Nutrition and Oral Health Award.

Your child will eat with others at a table, use cutlery and develop independence.

For the older children about to leave us and go into 'Big School', we let them practice getting their own tray and sitting on the 'Golden Table'.

Bathroom

We have both teeny-tiny and adult sized toilets with hand wash basins for our children. We also have potties for when your child is still learning and we work with you to support your child through this important transition.

Pets

We keep pet rabbits and goldfish. Your child is encouraged to help us look after them, and learn about caring for living things.

Car park

We have car parking for eight cars - fantastic for when you come to drop off and pick up your child. The car park is securely gated, and - once we've locked out all cars - we use it for big-scale outdoor play. We've made obstacle courses, mazes and more to get children running about outside.
